The Philippa Maddern Awards Presentation ceremony was held on Friday 13 August 2021. This biennial event is an important occasion in the Academic Staff Association calendar as the awards recognise the positive influences that academics have
on students, the university and the wider community, through their outstanding leadership and inspiration.
The Award for an academic still working at UWA went to Professor Colin McLeod, whilst Dr Jamie O’Shea was given the Award for an academic retired from UWA.
